We all know the amazing, positive benefits of walking and we are thrilled that our Corporate Health Promotion team has been part of  the Kaiser Permanente executive sponsorship efforts at the Westfield Galleria Mall in Roseville, California.  The program launched with over 3,500 registered walkers of all ages.  Our goal is to promote health through the ease of walking at least 150 minutes a week, or 30 minutes/ 5 days per week.

Corporate Health Promotion is involved with the  ongoing support of the walking program which is available every morning before the mall opens. The benefits of registering for this free program include motivating talks given twice a month (on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays) by the experts at Kaiser Permenente.

On the second Wednesday of the month, one of our amazing KP physicians from our most valued physician partnership team, leads a one mile walk inside the mall, so one can “walk and talk with a Doc.” In this informal setting, it is here one may have individual questions answered, as well as meet others with similar interests.  On the 4th Wednesday of each month, we also will bring out  health education experts to lead a health topic of interest and then lead a walk around the mall, that both begins and ends with the opportunity to have a blood pressure screen as well.  If you are local to the Roseville / CA area, we invite you to register for this free program.
